The Office of Auditor-General (State) is an independent entity whose existence, powers and responsibilities are provided for under the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
This Charter reflects on the roles and responsibilities of the Office of the Auditor-General (State) [OAGS] and sets standards of services that can be expected when dealing with us. It reflects our commitment for Superior Quality Audit Service Delivery.

Vision
To see a corrupt free Delta State civil/public service and that value is added in the use of public resources.
Mission
To promote sound financial operations, accountability and transparency in all MDAs in Delta State as well as the state legislature and judiciary through regular reviews, checks and examination of accounting records with the view to ensure economy, efficiency and effective utilization of funds. It is also to develop our auditing and accounting capabilities to establish ourselves as a credible professional institution that promotes good governance and public accountability.
We have a dedicated team
Apart from the personal office of the Auditor-General, the Headquarter office consists of six other Directorates or Departments, an Information Technology (IT) Unit. And pension unit The Directorates are the Government Accounts, Parastatals’ Account, Post Primary Institution’s Account, Finance Accounts and Supplies, Personnel Management, and Planning Research and statistics.
